taste this

Part one the basics

the way your tongue works is every taste bud has all five types of taste so if you have ever heard the myth "your tongue has sections"  its not true it has five groups sweet sour salty bitter and unami
\

your brain will tell your tongue how something tastes so if you hold your nose it doent taste as strong

that's how taste works

You smell that?

part 1:basics
you smell chemicals... because I do we all do don't believe me watch this video on how the nose works proof on how the nose works
part 2: why the memory

has a smell ever made you remember something that's not a coincidence the olfactory bulb is close to the hippocampus that's why smell and memory are so closely related.

Cant touch this

Part 1: skin

your skin you see it every day but did you know it has four senses
1.pressure-your skin can tell if its being touched or how much pressure is on it
2.vibration - your skin can tell if there are vibrations
3.cold and warmth -your body can tell if its hot or cold
and finally pain-you can tell when your hurt...kind of

part 2: pain

pain tells the body something has gone wrong (usually with the skin) its a response not an stimulus like pressure (its not your skin telling your brain its hurt its your brain telling your skin)

gates control theory is the theory that our spine contains "gates"that block or allow pain to pass.

Part 3:kinesthetics and more

there are other "senses" such as your sense of balance (kinesthetics) and your sense of time and temp.

The Ear and Hearing

This excellent ear diagram labels all the important parts of the human ear system. The labeled parts include the pinna, auditory canal, eardrum, stapes, malleus, incus and cochlea.

This is an ear its how you hear but i am assuming you know this but do you know all  about this lets find out.

STEP 1: A Basic Understanding
here is a video that will help you learn about the ear.basics on the ear

Step 2: deeper thought
frequency is the number of waves per second the more waves the more sound

Amplitude is the intensity or the loudness of a wave its measured by the energy in a wave.

there are also different types of  hearing losses
1.conduction hearing loss: hearing loss caused by damage to the eardrum
2. sensorineural:hearing loss caused bu damage to the cochleas receptor cells

AND THAT'S THE EAR

The First Sense VISION

The EYE the gateway into our brain is more complex than even THAT sounds but never fear i am hear to explain it to you.

STEP 1: A basic understanding
so in order to learn any thing you need to have a basic understanding here is a great video to teach you the basics on how the eye works bill nye of the eye

Step 2: More advance
now your ready for more advance we will learn about Opponent process Theory which says primary colors are combined and we can only see one at  time that's why red-green is not a color.

wavelengths are very important in vision for example different wavelengths are different color, greater amplitudes mean greater intensity and the more saturation means a more pure color.
